Kihei was driven to LARC by another wolf rescuer all the way from Wisconsin. Many of our rescue partners know this is the best place for the “knuckleheads.” Kihei is very dominant and wolfy in his behavior and likes to hide his emotional baggage with snarls and growls. On the inside lies the soul of an injured animal, and as our staff gets to know him more and more, Kihei demonstrates a true wolf-to-warrior bond. Kihei is one of those animals that forever changes anyone who comes in contact with him. He is a wolf lie detector, an emotional Rubik’s cube, but yet a compassionate soul. One of the leaders in the Warriors and Wolves program, Kihei has a way of selecting the staff member that needs the most support.
