Kimmi (Cami) was brought to LARC by a long-time supporter and wolf lover. Kimmi was bred in captivity to be put on display at a zoo in Georgia. When the zoo realized she had cataracts and that she would more than likely go blind, they quickly wanted to dispose of her. Kimmi’s benefactor and LARC’s longtime supporter decided this was unacceptable and had her flown to an eye specialist in Nevada. Kimmi underwent multiple medical procedures to remove her cataracts and reshape her eyes. Kimmi can now see and lives in a huge outdoor 3-acre enclosure with her partner. Kimmi lost a significant amount of the pigmentation in her eyes while undergoing her medical procedure. So instead of yellow eyes with dark black trim, she has flat black eyes with a glossy-black trim.
