How You Can Help

We are always grateful for the generosity of our compassionate supporters.  Here are ways your help can make a huge difference for the animals and veterans we serve.

Monthly giving

Monthly support of our programs is truly the lifeblood of our organization.  It is how we ensure all of the animals are provided with the daily care they need and how we meet their nutritional, enrichment, and other daily requirements. In addition, monthly support helps with veterinary care and the care of our many elderly and special needs animals who require extra medical attention on a regular basis.

Donate any amount

We are grateful for any support and any donation, large or small, makes an impact on the quality of life of the animals and/or veterans in our program.

Make a tribute gift in honor or memory of a loved one

Honor or memorialize a loved one with a tribute gift that will support veterans and animals. Tribute gifts have the option of sending a notification of the gift to the person of their choice, dedicate a permanent plaque in our new memorial garden, or dedicate a tree with a plaque outside one of the large habitats on the LARC grounds to provide shade or fruit for our residents.  We will email your loved one an elegant certificate sharing your gift and including a photo of where the tree will be planted.  The tree will be cared for by one of our veteran caregivers to ensure it provides shade or fruit for years to come.

Planned Giving, Bequests, and Trusts

The Lockwood Animal Rescue Center and the Association for Parrot C.A.R.E. are IRS-recognized nonprofit charities that have been working to save wolves/ wolfdogs and parrots throughout the United States while at the same time giving meaningful employment to our nation’s veterans. Together with people like you, we’ve saved the lives of countless animals as well as the veterans who care for them.

By making a gift to any of our nonprofit charities through your will, trust or other planned financial gift, you can help animals in need now and well into the future.

When you incorporate charitable giving in your estate planning, this is something you can feel proud of as you can be assured that you will be providing for the animals and charities that matter most to you. We would be happy to talk to you about planned giving and the other opportunities for charitable giving that can save lives. Read Birds of a Feather

Read Dr. Lorin Lindner's book, Birds of a Feather, which tells the story of how Dr. Lindner, and the other stars of Animal Planet's Wolves and Warriors series, got their start rescuing animals and how they created a unique back-to-nature program for veterans healing from trauma.

Watch Wolves and Warriors on Animal Planet

Animal Planet's docu-series follows Dr. Lorin Lindner, and the LARC team of veterans as they rescue wolves across the country and care for the animals in our sanctuary. Broadcast on Animal Planet in the fall of 2018, it occasionally is re-broadcast.
